EXPIRATION DATING AND STABILITY TESTING

The Compressed Gas Association submitted a citizen's petition to exempt
medical gases from compliance with the expiration dating requirements of 21 CFR 211.137. A final decision has not been reached, in the interim; we are not requiring that firms apply expiration dates to the labeling of medical gases.
However, if a firm's written procedures call for an expiration date,
then a firm should be following their procedures and apply an expiration date to the product.
